Comprehensive Eye Examinations

Comprehensive eye examinations are incredibly important. When we look into your eyes, not only can tell you how healthy your eyes are, or what we can do to improve your vision, but we can also tell you how healthy your general health is. For example, through your comprehensive eye examination, we might be able to detect health issues such as diabetes, high blood pressure or high cholesterol.

During your comprehensive eye examination at A Plus Optometry, we’ll talk through your history, check your vision, assess your vision requirements and your eye muscle coordination. We’ll also conduct OCT and digital retinal photography to screen for any retinal diseases, such as macular degeneration and cataracts, and will also screen for various eye diseases. Should we detect any complex eye disorders, we’ll provide a referral to the appropriate expert.

We recommend receiving a comprehensive eye examination once every two years, even if you are not experiencing any problems or issues with your eyes.
